Welcome to Spain – Sunshine, Tapas, and Churros
Spain is a beautiful and dynamic country that is full of variety; the food was no exception. The food tour opened our eyes to several types of tapas, olive oils, and one of their famous dishes, paella. We had the most delicious churros and chocolate at a small locally owned cafe. During our journey around the outskirts of Barcelona, we stumbled upon a wondrous pastry shop. The owner had moved from Pakistan to open his bakery in Spain. It was amazing! We ended our stay in Barcelona with a private boat tour in the Mediterranean Sea. Our next stop would take us to Madrid and the Temple of Debod, an ancient Egyptian Temple, as well as Segovia and the Roman Aquaducts.
