Welcome to the Czech Republic – Prague over Paris
Life can be hurtful sometimes, confusing your direction. Its curve balls can knock you down and catch you off guard. It can cause you to fall back and lose all the momentum you had trying to be the best version of yourself. You try to be a better person, a better friend, and most of all, a better boyfriend. While opposite-sex friendships can be more complex, they are not inherently impossible or negative. With clear communication and a willingness to respect each other’s perspectives, opposite-sex friendships can be a rewarding and enriching experience. But the girlfriend curve ball can hit you just as hard as the friendship one, actually much harder. It can paralyze and make you so angry that your thoughts go black with your actions being misguided. You can let failure, heartbreak, and confusion consume you or you can let it motivate you. No matter how much we plan or think we have everything under control, there will be times when it will simply be out of our control. Like it or not, that’s LIFE. At least that is what I try and tell myself.
My original plan was to visit Paris for a third time, with that special someone, but life’s curve ball pushed me to Prague, and I was not disappointed.
Prague isn’t just a city—it’s a fairy tale brought to life. With its cobblestone streets, towering Gothic spires, and centuries of history, the Czech capital casts a spell on everyone who visits.
Known as the “City of a Hundred Spires,” Prague blends old-world charm with a vibrant, modern spirit. At its heart is the stunning Prague Castle, overlooking the city from a hilltop, and the Charles Bridge, a stone masterpiece lined with statues and street performers. Wander through Old Town Square, and you’ll find the famous Astronomical Clock, ticking away since the 15th century.
But Prague’s magic isn’t just in its architecture. It’s in the cozy cafés, riverside walks, local beer culture, and the way the city lights reflect off the Vltava River at dusk. It’s romantic, artistic, affordable, and full of life—whether you’re exploring medieval alleys or catching live jazz in a cellar bar.
With its perfect mix of history, beauty, and charm, Prague doesn’t just impress—it captures your heart.
