Michelangelo was only 26 years old in 1501 when he was commissioned to sculpt a large version of David. Three years later and working constantly, Michelangelo created one of his most breathtaking masterpieces the world has ever seen. David is over 500 years old and is one of my favorite sculptures from my favorite Italian artist. This picture was taken in 2014, and even though I was clueless with the camera, is one of my best.
